Year 6 Summer Term Newsletter

The Year 6 team hope you have all enjoyed a relaxing break over the Easter period and are really looking forward to what the new term brings.


  • • In the core subjects, we will be consolidating and deepening our knowledge of the different areas in preparation for the SATs which will be happening the week commencing 14th May.
    • In literacy, children will continue to develop their writing flair through different genres based on The Titanic.
  • • In our science sessions, we will be learning more about evolution and inheritance amongst other topic areas.
    • PE and Forest Schools will follow the same rotation as the previous term.

The summer term in year 6 is always an extremely busy one and it is useful for us to give as much notice as possible of key events. The events below have been booked in and we will endeavour to give any further information and details regarding them as soon as possible.
